Search for UK Brand Ambassador 2013
Koshu of Japan is delighted to announce its inaugural campaign to find a UK Brand Ambassador, the recipient of which will win a trip to Japan.
The search officially begins on Monday 1 April when potential candidates can apply online at www.koshuofjapan.co.uk and will continue until the end of May. The only criteria for entry is that applicants must be an active member of the UK wine trade.
Prospective candidates will be invited to submit evidence of their knowledge and appreciation of the wines, styles and region of Koshu of Japan. They will also need to explain their efforts in promoting the wines in the UK market.
The chosen candidate will win a trip to Japan, including visits to the leading wineries in the Yamanashi prefecture and an overnight stay in Tokyo. Two runners-up will each be given £300 and £200 respectively towards a meal at one of London’s leading restaurants stocking Koshu of Japan wines.
How to apply
·You will be required to demonstrate some real creativity in promoting Koshu in the UK trade
·You must submit a supporting statement, of not more than 500 words, with the theme: Koshu in the UK wine trade – its challenges and its opportunities

Terms and conditions
·Overall winner’s prize:
The winner will be flown to Japan, from a London airport, on dates to be agreed in advance with the organiser. The ticket must be taken in the first 12 months following closure of the competition in agreement with the KOJ Director and the producers in Yamanashi. Transfers, meals and accommodation will be provided for 5 nights, including visits to Yamanashi Prefecture, accompanied by a member of KOJ who will facilitate visits to the wineries. All other expenditure at the winner’s expense including travel to London airport, room service, travel insurance and other unaccounted for expenses.
·Two runner-up prizes: these prizes can only be redeemed at restaurants stocking Koshu of Japan wines and approved by the organiser in advance. Winners will be given a £300 or £200 discount on the price of their meal, depending on the prize they have won.
·No cash alternative is available.
·Your statutory rights are not affected in any way.
·The judge’s decision is final and will be announced on 24th June 2013.
